These last few months have disappeared at an alarming speed! Despite some not so good health issues I have been quietly beavering away in my studio. Some 30 new silk scarves are slowly making their way to our shop with a lovely mix of colours and designs.

My daughter needed a collection of new fascinator bases for her new collections. Gorgeous silks and taffetas. Stunning feather flowers. Beautiful fascinators for that special event. They are so light and comfy to wear too.

We had our local artists walking trail exhibition which I created new pieces of mixed media silk and wool wall art pieces for.

We are a bit mushroom mad in our house too, the ones that grow in the woods now, not any other kind! we love hunting for them, identifying them and cooking up the edible ones. With Autumn now upon us, the woods are our favourite place to wander. Last weekend we went to Killarney National Park to hunt for them for reference. You aren’t allowed to pick anything there, only take photos. With all that inspiration I decided to have a go at creating some with wool. A mix of wet felted and needle felted mushroom have started emerging from my studio and I have to say I am rather pleased with them. It also gave me an excuse to random dye a whole pile of Wensleydale curly locks that I got from a local farmer and to card some of Leiko Felts gorgeous dyed merino wool from my stash into mushroom blends.

With craft fairs looming in the not too distant future, I will be busy preparing and creating pieces to sell over the coming weeks and months. Thanks for dropping by!
